Flowers

Rain, rain go away

Today the plan was a little photo safari in a park with old, shabby buildings. Well, we started out well, we took a lot of shots of our dogs, some of the houses and of course I had to take some flower shots too. After that it started raining, well no surprise maybe since the last weeks has been quite rainy. We got soaking wet and had to go home much earlier than planned. Norwegian summer in a nut shell 😉 Have a nice week!

Nome (left) and Charlie (right) did some posing.

It was a lot of flies in the park just before the rain started.

Lilly of the Valley

In my little garden I planted Lilly of the Valley when we moved here, some years they did have some flowers and some years not. Two years ago I moved them to a different part of my flower bed. I thought they died because last year I could not find them. But now they are back with beautiful pale pink flowers (this is a pink variant). So this weeks picture is of the beautiful Convallaria majalis rosea.

Afternoon walk

The weather was so bright and warm so before diner I went for a little walk with my dog, Charlie. I brought the camera because the afternoon sun can give some interesting light for macro photography. I did find a few little treasures.

Hope you enjoy the photos!

May is here

Today was a wonderful monday, in Norway we have a day off every 1st of May. We went for a walk in the forest, the sun was shining and all of the snow that came last monday is now finally gone.

The sun was shining so beautifully between the trees:

And the third spring flower, wood sorrel, is blooming:

I did also find a pink variant of Anemone hepatica:

This week will be a short one because I am taking some days off. I will spend the next weekend in Amsterdam with one of my best friends. Hopefully I have some pictures to share when I get back!

Have a lovely, sunny week!

If you love a flower

If you love a flower, don´t pick it up.

Because if you pick it up it dies

and it ceases to be what you love.

So if you love a flower, let it be.

Love is not about possession.

Love is about appreciation.

Sunday walk

Finally all of the snow is gone and the paths are open for walking in the forest again. These days the forest are all dressed up in white, no, not snow, but the beautiful wood anemone covers all of the the ground. Soon all the trees in the forest are covered with green leaves and summer is just around the corner 🙂

In between there are still a few Anemone hepatica in bloom too.

Happy Easter Holiday

To days post consists of a few pictures i took in the woodlands today when I was out walking my dog in the rain. Just enjoying some days off.

Spring is just beautiful!

Happy Easter holiday!

Hazel (Corylus avellana)

It is so much exciting going on in the forest during spring. The other day I was out walking in my little neighborhood-forest when I came to think of the flowers of hazel. They are beautiful, dark pink and so tiny, the flowers are only 1-3 mm long. I decided to see if I could be able to find a hazelnut-tree with flowers. Well I did and I managed to take a photo of it too. But it is so difficult without a tripod, but I think it went out well.

Simple and beautiful!

Have a beautiful week and happy Easter holiday!

Spring flowers – again

Last week I posted pictures of anemone hepatica and snowdrop. Well, I am sorry but this is the content of todays post too. But they are much better pictures than those two of last week so I hope it is OK anyway 😉 The hepatica buds from last week is now in full bloom and looks so pretty. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
