Todays post is some photos from a little trip to Stockholm my friend, Jorunn, and I did a couple of weeks ago. The sun was shining and we really got that summer feeling.
Henningsvær is a little fishing village about half an hours car drive from Svolvær. A lot of tourists visit this little village to watch the typical fishing village architecture.
As a part of our summer holiday we spent a few days in the Lofoten islands. We rented a boat house in Svolvær (Svinøya). Svolvær is a beautiful town situated just below the famous rock formation “Svolværgeita” (the Svolvær goat). Svolvær is a popular place to visit for tourists from all over the world and a lot of them arrive with a Norwegian cruise ship called “Hurtigruta”. “Hurtigruta travels the Norwegian coastline from Bergen and all the way up to Tromsø.
We visited a few more places too, which I will write about in later posts. Meanwhile please enjoy the photos from Svolvær.
Seillans is a beautiful village in Provence about an hour drive from Grasse. The little village is a nice place for a photo safari. A lot of stone houses, narrow streets and a church from the 12th century. There are also two good restaurants worth a visit; Chez Hugo and La Glorie de mon Pere. Both restaurants have very good food.
Here are some photos from my visit to Seillans:
I loved Amsterdam. It is a wonderful city and it is perfect for me because I am not very fond of going to different museums and other tourist attractions. My favorite thing to do is walking around and watch everyday life, relaxing on a little cafe and admire the architecture. Her are a few pictures from my mini trip to Amsterdam.
Visiting Amsterdam was fun. In Norway people use their bike for training and they have new fancy bikes. In Amsterdam the bikes are used for transportation and the bikes look quite old fashioned and they are so cool. The bikes are like jewelry and creates aesthetic scenes in the city.
Have a nice week!
Our girls had a week off this week, winter holiday at school, and we spent to days together. The winter weather was sparkling so it felt right to spend some times out doors. We went to Oslo just to be tourists in our own city and I tested if I could use my iPhone 7+ as a light camera when traveling. So today there are a mix of Nikon D7000 and iPhone 7+ photos in the post. I think they both work out just fine.
The other day we went for a walk along the coast line (Oslo fjord) and the light was so beautiful when we reached Sjøstrand.
