Last Sunday My husband and I was out walking with some friends in the forest. I had my camera over my shoulder as usual. Taking photos and spend time with friends normally isn’t a very good idea, I spend much more time talking to my companions than watching my surroundings for items to “shoot”. But at one point I found a beam of light from the sun finding its way between the tree logs and hit a yellow leaf lying in the grass like a glowing jewel.
Wow, how I love to find such treasures.
Todays photos are from a short photo-walk in the little forest just outside my house a few days ago.
Have a lovely week!
The last few weeks I have been busy preparing for my youngest daughters confirmation day (church event followed by a family party). So my mind has been occupied with a lot of other stuff than photography. Well, now the party is over and I am almost back on track. I still find it difficult to be inspired to use my camera when I am out walking in the woods, as this summer was so warm and dry that the flowers, plants and trees has been quite dry. Brown leaves and fading flowers is not very inspiring. Now autumn is here and there has been some rain lately, so there are some mushrooms to be found. Not any edible ones, but they can be a target for my macro lens. So here are a couple of mushrooms, enjoy!
They are kind of pretty in their own way, don’t you think?
The winter is just around the corner and to day it was raining and snowing at the same time. The leaves has turned brown and fallen to the ground and left the forest quite colorless. But soon white snow will cover the ground and lighten up the surroundings. Today I celebrate the weekend with some colorful autumn leaves.
Have a lovely weekend!
I never get tired of photographing mushrooms in the fairytaleforest.
At the moment I am working on a photo challenge I find quite difficult: LANDSCAPE….
Well, there are no problem to find a beautiful landscape but my challenge is to make it interesting… I have taken a lot of images but I am not sure if I am finished yet. Today I went to Vollen to practice. Not an easy task since it was a very foggy day. Maybe some of the photos are OK but I need to take a closer look and do some editing…
Meanwhile, todays post are three pictures from late autumn and early winter. I hope you enjoy them and probably I will post some landscapes later 😉
Have a nice week!
Photo challenge is fun and it forces you to think out of the box and it also makes you improve as a photographer. I love macro photography and this challenge came when the nature was dressed in it´s most beautiful colors, so I tried to take colorful macro pictures of leafs. Here are some examples:
When this challenge was on I went up in the mountains at Ble with my friend Ellen, I hoped for some beautiful autumn colors. Well, on saturday morning we woke up and it was snowing outside. But I found some color bombs anyway, vibrant red lingonberries with snow (the same picture as the one I posted last week in “Snow – winter is on a visit”). To make the berries act more like a “bomb” of color I removed any color in the picture except red (in Lightroom). Here´s the result:
Next months challenge is “bokeh” and at this moment I have no idea how to solve that challenge yet 🙂
